President Ho Chi Minh was an example of virtue, national pride, wisdom, and a great source of encouragement for Vietnamese generations, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said on May 18.
He made the remark while addressing a ceremony held in Hanoi to celebrate the 125th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

Reviewing the life and career of the nation’s first president, the Party leader focused on how Vietnam’s revolution overcame numerous challenges under the leadership of Uncle Ho.
Ho Chi Minh left a large, valuable legacy and moral example, highlighting self-improvement and responsibility that should be emulated by all Vietnamese people, Trong said.
The late president devoted all his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, and gave his all in serving Vietnam and Vietnamese people until he took final breath, the Party chief noted.
Other activities were also held at home and abroad in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, such as an exhibition entitled “Study and Follow Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example” at the Exhibition House in Hanoi; a special art performance in front of the newly-inaugurated monument of Uncle Ho in Ho Chi Minh City; and a ceremony in Hanoi to honor 125 outstanding young people and workers and launch the 2015 youth volunteer summer campaign.-
