More than 80 percent of Vietnamese consumers will be using indigenous goods by 2020.
Such is provided in the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 634/QD-TTg of April 29, approving the project on domestic market development, which is linked to the campaign “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods” in the 2014-20 period.
The VND 228.9 billion project aims to help Vietnamese goods dominate the local market, contributing to the development of domestic producers.
The project targets increasing awareness about the campaign among 90 percent of Vietnamese people by 2020.
All cities and provinces will build communication channels with a “Pride of Vietnamese goods” slogan.
To achieve the targets, the project devises four solutions, including improving the awareness and behavior of the community toward Vietnamese goods, giving support to the country’s distribution system and improving competitiveness of businesses, collectives and households in distribution process. Enhancement of market investigation and protection of consumer rights are also included.-
