The Standing Committee of the XIIth National Assembly (NA), at its 3rd session held in Hanoi from October 11-19, discussed the tentative law- and ordinance-making programs for the XIIth NA’s tenure (2007-2011) and for 2008.
The 2008 law- and ordinance-making program covers 37 bills and 9 draft ordinances under an official program and 9 bills under a preparatory program, according to the Standing Committee.
The Committee plans to include in the legislative program for the XIIth NA’s tenure 89 bills and 9 draft ordinances under an official program and 28 bills under a preparatory program.
At this session, the Standing Committee also discussed the Government’s and NA Committees’ reports on socio-economic situation in 2007 and tasks for 2008; NA Committees’ supervisory reports on the observance of law regarding the grant of land use rights certificates, traffic order and safety, settlement of complaints and denunciations, etc.; and other reports.-
