Since it has little land left, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on attracting projects that use advanced, new or clean technologies, have high added value, help boost the competitiveness of domestic firms and enhance their access to global supply chain, and contribute to green and sustainable development.

Vietnam will adjust investment policies to adapt to the global minimum tax rate and remain an attractive destination for investment. The move comes amid concerns that this measure might undermine the competitive advantage of developing countries in attracting foreign investment through offering tax incentives.
