The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) is collecting opinions on a new law which would amend a number of articles of the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants (2008) and the Law on Public Employees (2010).

High incomes and costly formalities for exit from Vietnam are among the reasons behind Vietnamese guest workers’ overstay in South Korea, according to a survey released by the Institute of Labor Science and Social Affairs (ILSSA) at a workshop in Hanoi this month.

Vietnamese officials have pledged to fulfill the commitments to improve the country’s investment environment and its competitiveness. The commitments were made at the Vietnam Investment Roundtable in Ho Chi Minh city on July 6-7, 2004, which rallied foreign investors, policy-makers, businessmen along with economists and analysts.
