Many large firms have shown their interest in Vietnam, and the country is looking at its chances to welcome large-scale foreign direct investment inflows.

Soon after the National Assembly passed the Law on Foreign Investment in Vietnam in 1987, the country started witnessing Foreign Direct Investment inflows which have made considerable contributions to the national economy. To mark the 30th year of Vietnam’s FDI attraction, Vietnam News Agency talked to Sebastian Eckardt, lead economist at the World Bank Vietnam.

Vietnam’s economic development and potential for further growth will be in the spotlight at an international forum to be co-organized on April 23 in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Asia News Network (ANN), according to a press conference held on April 11.
