Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on March 25 inspected a number of works and projects in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

The signing of the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam on January 27, 1973, was a resounding victory of Vietnam’s revolutionary diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era, making important contributions to the common victory of the whole nation and, at the same time, leaving invaluable diplomatic lessons, including those related to national independence and international solidarity.

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) held a grand ceremony at its headquarters in Hanoi on January 15 to receive noble orders granted by the State of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

"All my life, I have served the Homeland, the revolution and the people with all my heart and strength," President Ho Chi Minh wrote in his testament.

Truong Chinh made important contributions to the formulation and promulgation of the 1980 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and many laws, and to the promotion of democracy and the building of a socialist state ruled by law.

Through over 60 years of his revolutionary activities in different fields and different leading positions, Le Quang Dao made tireless efforts for national independence and freedom as well as for the communist ideal.

In every country, there usually exists private ownership or public ownership of land or both. In Vietnam, the land ownership regime has formed and developed through different historical periods.

Not long after its emergence after the colonial regime was overthrown in the August 1945 Revolution, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam had its first Constitution passed in 1946, which clearly stated: “The Vietnamese citizens’ private ownership of property is guaranteed”.

In 1976, after being elected through a general election, the National Assembly of the unified Vietnam, at its first session, officially reunified Vietnam, having renamed the country the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and decided to elaborate a new constitution.
