Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, has highlighted the significance of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), creating an environment of peace and stability as well as assisting the long-term development of Vietnam.
