Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on May 12 presided over the first quarter meeting of the National Steering Committee against Smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud (National Steering Committee 389), discussing solutions for bottlenecks in dealing with recent violations.

A book on anti-corruption written by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was introduced on January 11 in Hanoi.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has ordered Party committees, organizations and competent agencies to continue with more drastic, rapid actions and stronger determination to fight corruption and negative phenomena.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) discovered 523 corruption cases by the end of September this year, an increase of 40.97 percent compared with the same period last year, according to the latest report of the ministry.

The State would diversify types of social work services and encourage organizations and individuals to found not-for-profit private social work establishments, according to a draft decree on social work released by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
