The 15th National Assembly is scheduled to scrutinize four draft laws and resolutions during its fourth session on November 7.

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee's 16th session opened in Hanoi on October 10.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stressed that many major issues have been implemented for a long time but the results have not met expectations, thus requiring new resolve and new measures to address them at a different scale to meet the requirements of the new situation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Government’s monthly law-building session on September 22, with a focus on response to the current global situation and some policies and laws.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a working session with the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Justice on July 7 to collect ideas to complete a draft strategy on building and perfecting a rule-of-law socialist state until 2030 with a vision to 2045.

Immediately after being reshuffled at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly, the Government directed[1] the review and assessment of its Working Regulations[2] in order to early introduce a new one reflecting the practical situation and requirements as well as inheriting valuable experiences drawn from the past implementation. The following fundamental contents of the Government’s Working Regulations need to be amended to improve and renew the working styles of the Government and the Prime Minister to meet the new circumstance requirements.
