The 15th National Assembly (NA) convened its first session in Hanoi on July 20 morning. During the session, the legislative body will elect and approve leadership positions of State agencies, and mull over reports on socio-economic development and other major issues.

The 14th National Assembly Standing Committee convened its 58th meeting, also its last sitting, in Hanoi on July 12 to review preparations for the first session of the 15th legislature.

The National Assembly Standing Committee on June 14 convened its 57th meeting under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

The National Election Council (NEC) held a press conference in Hanoi on June 10 to announce its Resolution on the outcomes of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure along with the list of 499 candidates elected to the 15th legislature.

Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, who is also Chairman of the National Election Council (NEC), chaired the council’s seventh meeting in Hanoi yesterday.

On May 23, voters across the country cast ballots to elect their representatives at the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-26 tenure.

The National Election Council reported most cities and provinces reported high rates of turnout of over 90 percent in the May 23 elections, with some recording a rate of as high as 99.99 percent as of 10pm the same day.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has called on voters nationwide to actively go to the polls to elect the most deserving deputies to the 15th legislature and all-level People’s Councils for 2021-2026.

Preparations have been completed in all constituencies nationwide for over 69 million voters to elect deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021 - 2026 tenure on May 23.
