Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son has affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to strengthening strategic partnership with the UK.

The implementation of free trade agreements (FTAs) will continue to prove fruitful for Vietnam in 2023, said Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien.

Vietnamese businesses must stay vigilant and do their homework to avoid trade and legal disputes in exporting to the UK to take full advantage of the United Kingdom-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which officially went into effect last May, say industry experts and policymakers.

Vietnamese enterprises should study the use of different dispute resolutions to settle disputes with foreign partners more efficiently, especially as commercial disputes are tending to rise in line with Vietnam’s deeper integration in the global economy through free trade agreements (FTAs).

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue arrived at Heathrow Airport in London on June 28 (local time), beginning his three-day official visit to the UK at the invitations of Speaker of the UK House of Lords John McFall and Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Lindsay Hoyle.

A conference will be co-held on June 23 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the British Embassy in Vietnam and the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (BritCham) to support Vietnamese enterprises to join the supply chain of British enterprises.
