Constitutional revision should boost multi-sectoral economy
The 1992 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam declares to build “… a socialist-oriented multi-sectoral commodity economy operating according to the market mechanism and under the state management” (Article 15). Concretizing this declaration, the 1992 Constitution has determined three fundamental principles of the economic regime, namely multiple sectors; regulation by the market mechanism in combination with regulation by the State; and socialist orientation.
