Court proposes precedent-based trial of civil cases
In the latest draft Law containing amendments to the Civil Procedure Code, the Supreme People’s Court proposed some civil cases be tried on the basis of precedents. However, this proposal was not backed by the National Assembly Standing Committee. This article looks into the nature of precedents as well as their possible effects on court proceedings in Vietnam.
