At the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s meeting on July 12, the representative of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said the revision of 12 laws relevant to investment and business domains would help remove difficulties for the economy.
The Government has suggested including a bill amending and supplementing those laws in the NA’s 2016 law- and ordinance-making program, said Vice Chairman of the NA’s Law Committee Le Minh Thong.
Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dang Huy Dong said the draft law, once passed, would address the overlapping between the Investment and Enterprise Laws and the Bidding Law, Land Law and other laws.
After considering the proposal made by the business community at the meeting with the Prime Minister in late April, the Government has assigned the MPI and Ministry of Justice to draft a law for appraisal by the Ministry of Justice. Such draft law is expected to be approved by the Government this month and submitted to the NA for consideration at its year-end session, said the deputy minister.
According to Dong, 12 laws to be revised have overlapping points, of which four laws will have one or two points amended to create many favorable conditions for enterprises. If all inappropriate provisions are revised, difficulties will be removed for the whole economy.
The NA Standing Committee has proposed the Government to prepare and report on the draft law after the first session of the XIVth NA.- (VLLF)
