In a broad meaning, legal training in Vietnam consists of three main components: (1) training in basic legal knowledge to grant intermediate, bachelor, master and doctoral degrees; (2) legal professional training to grant certificates for judicial titles (judges, procurators, lawyers and other judicial titles); and (3) retraining and refresher training for law practitioners. These training activities are much different from one another (in terms of trainees, training institutions, training purposes, training contents and methods, etc.) but are closely interrelated.
