PM urges priority and modern infrastructure for reporters at 14th National Party Congress
This ensures that the press can provide timely, full, accurate, rich, and vivid coverage of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The press is always a dedicated and vital force, therefore, priority must be given to creating the best possible conditions for their professional activities, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

During a visit to reporters at the Press Centre for the 14th National Party Congress on Tuesday afternoon, the Government leader emphasised the need to provide comprehensive infrastructure for the press, including high-speed transmission lines and optimal working environment. This ensures that the press can provide timely, full, accurate, rich, and vivid coverage of the event.

Specifically, PM Chinh requested the press to focus on core issues and new highlights of this Congress.

These include the integration of various reports into a single document and Party General Secretary To Lam’s opening speech, which is concise and focused on key points, new features, and immediate tasks.

“This approach demonstrates a spirit of action and practicality that stays close to reality, particularly the breakthroughs highlighted by the Party leader in his remarks at the opening session [on Tuesday morning]: Strategic vision, breakthrough thinking, and decisive action," said the Government leader.

The Prime Minister also urged the press to reflect the joyful and exciting atmosphere among cadres, party members, and people from all walks of life regarding this major political event. He called for readiness to effectively implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress immediately following its conclusion.

The Press Centre for the 14th National Party Congress is located immediately adjacent to the Main Hall at the National Conventional Centre in Ha Noi, where the Congress sessions take place.

Equipped with modern facilities, technical infrastructure, and state-of-the-art equipment, the centre features high-speed internet connectivity and is furnished with over 150 laptops and desktops, printers, fax machines, and 10 large-screen televisions. These resources are designed to provide the best possible conditions for journalists to cover the event. The facility also serves as the venue for press conferences, meetings, and interviews regarding the Congress.

Over the past two days, the centre has hosted nearly 600 reporters and technicians from 113 domestic media agencies. Additionally, nearly 100 reporters and press assistants from 43 foreign news agencies, overseas Vietnamese journalists, and representatives from various political and ruling parties are in attendance to report on the Congress.- (VNS/VLLF)
