Press agencies are expected to develop in professional, humane and modern manner to carry out the public communication to serve the country’s renewal cause and play the key role in guiding public opinions and firmly safeguarding the information sovereignty in the cyberspace, creating new revenue sources, and helping promote the development of the digital content industry.
The Strategy sets the targets that by 2030, 90 percent of press agencies will be able to use platforms for analyzing and processing data in a concentrated manner and apply artificial intelligence to optimize their operations, while all of them will apply the converged newsroom model as well as other appropriate models suitable to the world’s scientific and technological development and produce contents in line with digital media trends.
To achieve those targets, one of the solutions set forth in the Strategy is to intensify international cooperation to learn from the experience of countries with developed digital press.
In light of this, it is expected to develop digital press publications and create new information products on different platforms to increase readers’ engagement and spread information contents in a faster, wider and more accurate manner based on readers’ demand.
