Promoting press’ role in policy and law dissemination
Press agencies have reflected important guidelines, policies and regulations in a vivid, objective and prompt manner, contributing to raising the public awareness about law compliance and protecting the lawful rights and interests of the people, especially the vulnerable groups, said an official of the Ministry of Justice at a seminar in Hanoi on June 19.

Press agencies have reflected important guidelines, policies and regulations in a vivid, objective and prompt manner, contributing to raising the public awareness about law compliance and protecting the lawful rights and interests of the people, especially the vulnerable groups, said an official of the Ministry of Justice at a seminar in Hanoi on June 19.

At the seminar themed “Exchanging experiences in public communication and press work” held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), Director of the Ministry’s Department of Law Dissemination and Education and Legal Aid Le Ve Quoc expressed his hope that the Department would continue receiving cooperation, feedback and support from press agencies to build a law-abiding society.

“Communication and the press are inseparable in law dissemination,” said Editor-in-Chief of the Law and Development Journal Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh, emphasizing that the press’ active participation is necessary for citizens and businesses to understand and abide by law.

He also expressed his hope for more effective coordination between the Department and press agencies, contributing to building a just, civilized and law-abiding society.

The participants proposed solutions to enhance the effectiveness of public communications about legal provisions, ensuring that legal information is prompt, easy-to-understand and accessible to the public.

Earlier, on May 31, 2025, the Ministry of Justice launched the National Law Portal - an artificial intelligence (AI) incorporated legal platform, which aims to facilitate citizens’ and businesses’ access to legal information. The launch was made in response to the implementation of Government Resolution 140/NQ-CP dated May 17, promulgating the Action Program to implement the Political Bureau’s Resolution 66-NQ/TW dated April 30, 2025, on renovation of law making and law enforcement work to meet the national development requirements in the new era, the public communications about policies have been promoted across various platforms - from print newspapers, radio and television to social media and modern electronic means.- (VLLF)
