At the coming seventh session, to be held in May 2005, the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) will consider passage of significant amendments and supplements to the Civil Code to make it more consonant with Party guidelines and State policies on the development of a socialist-oriented market economy and active integration into the world economy. These amendments and supplements aim to ensure the consistence of the Civil Code with the provisions of the 1992 Constitution, the Land Law and other laws and regulations currently in force.
