Relationship between village convention and state law in ancient Vietnamese society
In the ancient Vietnamese society, most people were peasants living in villages - the grassroots population and administrative units. The striking and leading tradition of the Vietnamese is community attachment. There exist in each village different close and sustainable relations among villagers, who love, protect and help one another, sharing weal and woe.
