Tetra Pak - a food processing and packaging solutions provider from Sweden - has signed a cooperation agreement with Biopa Technology Company (Biopa) and Van Diem Paper Company (Van Diem) to spearhead the recycling of used beverage cartons in Northern Vietnam.

Van Diem will be responsible for recycling used beverage cartons, while Biopa will organize and manage the collection network in the North

This collaboration marks a major milestone for Tetra Pak, as the company continues to expand its partnership with recyclers to develop the collection and recycling infrastructure of beverage cartons in the North. Prior to this agreement, used beverage cartons collected in the northern region had to be transported to the South for recycling by two Tetra Pak's partners in the collection network for used beverage cartons.

"Through this three-party cooperation agreement, we hope to make it easier for people to access carton collection and increase the carton recycling rate in Vietnam", Mr. Bang reaffirmed.
