Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has basically agreed with a proposal to prioritize the immediate implementation of three strategic technology groups in 2025, and called for the completion of a detailed implementation plan by October 30.
Speaking at a meeting with ministries, agencies and businesses on the implementation of the 11 strategic technology groups on September 30, Dung urged relevant ministries and agencies to proactively propose projects and suitable controlled policy experimentation mechanisms to attract Vietnamese technology enterprises, and domestic and foreign talents.
He requested that a detailed plan for the entire 11 technology groups should be finalized by December 31.

The Deputy PM also emphasized the importance of enhancing international cooperation to inherit and develop international best practices and experiences.
Earlier, following the directive of the Deputy PM at a meeting on September 9 regarding the selection and proposal of a list of strategic technology products to be prioritized for immediate rollout this year, the Ministry of Science and Technology submitted a report to the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, proposing three strategic technology products to be prioritized for implementation in 2025. These include a large language model and Vietnamese virtual assistant, edge-processing AI Camera, and autonomous mobile robot; 5G mobile network systems and devices; and Blockchain network infrastructure and application layers for traceability and digital assets.- (VNA/VLLF)
