National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man has underscored the necessity to further fostering a spirit of innovation and improving professionalism in law-making at the 38th session of the NA Standing Committee on October 14 morning.
At the event, full-time NA deputies gave their opinions on the preparation for the 15th NA’s 8th session during the sitting.
The top legislator also urged related agencies to promptly finalize documents which are prepared for the NA's upcoming 8th session and send them to NA deputies.
Man also called on the Government and related relevant agencies to monitor the implementation of tasks as outlined in line with their functions and responsibilities.
According to General Secretary of the NA and Chairman of the NA Office Bui Van Cuong, the NA will review 30 groups of issues related to law-making and 12 others focusing on socio-economic development, state budget, supervision, and other important issues.
So far, the preparation work has been basically completed to serve the upcoming 8th session of the 15th NA, Cuong added.
The session, which is scheduled to open on October 21, will last 28.5 days.- (VLLF)
