Planning and Investment Minister Vo Hong Phuc and Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Norio Hattori, on November 19 signed a diplomatic note to put into effect an agreement on investment promotion and protection between the two countries.
The agreement, including regulations on investment licensing, focuses on liberalizing investment and protecting investors’ rights and interests. It will help increase transparency, legal stability and predictability for investors.
It is expected that Japanese investment in Vietnam will increase after the agreement comes into force.-
