In Beijing, China, the Agribank delegation led by Deputy General Director Doan Ngoc Luu attended the Sibos 2024 (SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar) organized by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) from October 21-24, 2024. At the Sibos 2024, Agribank participated in sessions presented by speakers who are world-leading managers and experts in different fields.
Sibos is the annual conference, exhibition and networking event organized by the Society for Worldwide Interbank and Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). Sibos 2024 was held at the China National Convention Center with the participation of more than 10,000 delegates who are leaders, policymakers, experts from central banks, commercial banks, financial market infrastructurers around the world. This year’s Sibos brought together over 125 exhibitors from around the world, under the theme “Connecting the Future of Finance.”
The seminar is not only a meeting place for large financial institutions but also a playing field for multinational corporations, information technology companies, consulting and payment companies. This is a valuable opportunity to promote business activities, seek cooperation opportunities and update international standards and advanced technology in the fields of payment, securities, fund management and modern banking products and services.

Within the framework of the Sibos 2024 held at the China National Convention Center, the Agribank delegation participated in sessions presented by speakers who are the world's leading managers and experts in many different fields.
The seminars and discussions covered prominent topics and updated the latest trends shaping the future of finance such as: the intersection of AI and ISO 20022, CBDCs, collaboration and data sharing, embedded finance, Fund tokenization, sustainable securities investment, emerging capital markets, understanding Gen Z, global connectivity, network interoperability, fast and efficient cross-border payments, quantum computers, etc.
In addition to the plenary conference, the Agribank delegation had bilateral meetings with representatives of major commercial banks and international financial service providers, helping to strengthen existing relationships and open up new cooperation opportunities in the financial and banking sector.

Through the working sessions, the Agribank delegation also introduced to international delegates updated information on Agribank's business activities, publications introducing and promoting Agribank's brand, products and services, as well as shared experiences and knowledge about banking business and technology, and sought more partners for Agribank business activities, and proposed to improve the effectiveness of cooperation with major financial institutions.
