Cabinet members, heads of sectors grilled at Q&A session
Government members and heads of sectors are fielding legislators’ questions about the implementation of the NA resolutions on thematic oversight and question-and-answer (Q&A) activities in the 14th tenure, and several related solutions adopted since the beginning of the 15th tenure at the ongoing sixth session of the 15th National Assembly (NA).

Government members and heads of sectors are fielding legislators’ questions about the implementation of the NA resolutions on thematic oversight and question-and-answer (Q&A) activities in the 14th tenure, and several related solutions adopted since the beginning of the 15th tenure at the ongoing sixth session of the 15th National Assembly (NA).

In the morning of the November 6th Q&A session, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le Minh Tri, and Auditor General of the State Audit Office Ngo Van Tuan are to present reports on the target matters.

NA General Secretary Bui Van Cuong will deliver an inspection summary on the implementation of the NA resolutions.

The NA will then proceed with the questioning of cabinet members and heads of sectors on the realization of the 10 resolutions of the 14th and the 15th NA on thematic oversight and Q&A activities in the fields of planning and investment, finance and banking, industry, agriculture and rural development, transport, construction, natural resources and environment.

The session, from November 6-8, will look into the implementation of some resolutions adopted by the legislature regarding supervisions and Q&A activities. During the week, legislators will also vote to approve some resolutions, including those on the socio-economic development plan, the State budget estimate, and the State budget allocation plan in 2024.

NA deputies will opine on some draft laws and resolutions such as Law on the Defense and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilization; the Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Property Auction; the Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended), the Law on Road Traffic, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Law on Archives (revised), the amended Law on the Capital, the resolution on the application of additional corporate income tax (CIT) under regulations against the erosion of the global tax base, and another on piloting a number of distinct mechanisms and policies on road investment.

Meanwhile, plenary sessions will scrutinize adjustments to some contents in the NA’s Resolution 53/2017/QH14 of November 24, 2017, on the feasibility study report regarding the project on land recovery, compensation, assistance, and resettlement for the construction of Long Thanh International Airport, and other reports by the Government.-(VLLF)
