From July 17, foreigners and overseas Vietnamese will not be required to pay the fee for granted repatriation laissez-passers and repatriation certificates prescribed at Point 9, Appendix II to Finance Ministry Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC of March 30, 2009, on collection, remittance, management and use of fees for grant of passports, visas and papers for entry, exit and residence in Vietnam.
Under Finance Ministry Circular No. 113/2009/TT-BTC of June 2, amending Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC, the fee rate applicable to Vietnamese citizens for granted passports, laissez-passers and exit permits will range VND 5,000-400,000. For foreigners and overseas Vietnamese, the fee rate for the grant or renewal of visas or cards for temporary or permanent residence or tourism will be USD 5-400.-
