From May 14, foreigners and overseas Vietnamese applying for single visas will have to pay a fee of USD 25. The visa fee will be USD 50 or 75 for multiple visas of a six-month or longer validity term. Temporary residence cards of 1 year, 1-2 years and 2-3 years will be granted to these persons with a fee of USD 60, 80 or 100, respectively. Permanent residents will pay 100 USD for their permanent residence cards.
As prescribed in Finance Ministry Circular No. 66/2009/TT-BTC of March 30, on the fees for issuance of passports, visas and other papers for entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam, Vietnamese citizens, when getting new passports or exit permits, will pay a fee of VND 200,000. A laissez-passer or civil status certificate will fetch a fee of VND 100,000.
A fee equal to a quarter of the above fee rates will be paid for modified passports, laisses-passers or civil status certificates or for children accompanying passport holders.
Vietnamese and foreigners who have paid fees for passports and relevant papers but still fail to satisfy conditions for issuance of these papers may have paid fee amounts refunded upon refusal notices from issuers.-
