According to Government Decree No. 05/2012/ND-CP of February 2, amending a number of articles of the decrees on registration of security transactions, legal aid, lawyers and legal consultancy, the time limit for granting a legal aid collaborator card will be seven days instead of current 22 days.
Specifically, within four days after receiving a dossier, the director of a legal aid center shall check the adequacy and validity of the dossier; and submit it to the director of provincial-level Justice Department for consideration and grant of a collaborator card.
Within three working days after receiving the dossier submitted by the center director, the director of provincial-level Justice Department must consider it and sign a recognition decision and grant a card.
The new regulation also specifies the dossier of application for working as a collaborator, including: (i) an application for working as a legal aid collaborator; (ii) a copy of the bachelor degree in law or another major or the intermediate degree in law; and (iii) a resume certified by the administration of the commune, ward or township where the applicant resides, stuck with two color photos sized 2 cm x 3 cm.-
