Cadres involved in the corruption prevention effort will enjoy a duty allowance of various levels depending on their positions in central and provincial steering committees for prevention and combat of corruption.
In Decree No. 19/2008/ND-CP of February 14, the Government prescribed the specific level of duty allowance for cadres on the state payroll of specialized anti-corruption bodies as follows: salaried personnel of the Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Steering Committee or provincial-level sections of the Committee would enjoy an allowance equal to 20% of their current salary levels plus leadership and seniority allowance, for ministers and equivalents posts and senior experts; 25% for cadres and employees of the principal expert rank; and 30% for those of the expert rank and equivalent and lower posts.
Members of the Central Anti-Corruption Steering Committee would enjoy the allowance level equal to 1.0 and members of provincial-level anti-corruption steering committees would enjoy the allowance level equal to 0.8 of the common minimum salary level. Those who are seconded or called together to join corruption combat teams for a definite duration under decisions of the Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Steering Committee or heads of provincial-level anti-corruption steering committees would enjoy remuneration decided by these heads under the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs.-
