On August 3, the Government issued Decree No. 67/2009/ND-CP, amending a number of articles of Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP of August 1, 2007, detailing the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations, and Decree No. 132/2008/ND-CP of December 31, 2008, detailing the Law on Product and Goods Quality.
Accordingly, the modification, supplementation or conversion of branch standards, which are compatible with scientific and technological advances and satisfy the economic development demand and relevant international agreements, into national ones and upgrading of technical regulations, processes, rules, norms and technical documents compulsory for application into national technical regulations must be completed before December 31, 2011.
From September 22, Vietnam standards, branch standards and technical regulations, norms and documents which are compulsory for application and converted into national technical regulations will continue to be applied to product and goods quality.-
