Ex-reporters tried for abuse of democratic freedoms
The Hanoi People’s Court on October 15 pronounced sentences of two years’ imprisonment and two years’ non-custodial reform, respectively, for Nguyen Viet Chien and Nguyen Van Hai, former reporters for the Thanh Nien (Young People) and Ho Chi Minh City Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspapers.
