Under Prime Minister Decision No. 1028/QD-TTg dated June 8, approving the program on family life education through 2020, 80 percent of pupils and students in education institutions, and employees and workers in industrial parks and export processing zones; more than half of youngsters in rural, mountainous, deep-lying and remote areas; and all young officers and soldiers in the armed forces will attend special activity sessions on family life education by 2020.
In addition, 60 percent of grassroots units and chapters of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Women’s Union and the Trade Union will hold special activity sessions to discuss the education of their members about family life.
To achieve the above targets, the program sets forth major tasks, such as raising the awareness of authorities at all levels, education institutions, organizations and establishments, as well as family members about the importance of families and family life education through public information, communication and education in various forms and with diverse contents, especially during family-related public holidays.
At the same time, the capacity and responsibility of state management agencies in charge of family life education will be improved through the issuance of documents guiding and directing the development of family life education through 2020, in combination with local cultural institutions and community-based education centers.
The program also encourages individuals, organizations and enterprises to facilitate their employees’ participation in family life education lessons through the movements “All people unite to build a new countryside and civilized urban centers” and “All people build a cultured life.”- (VLLF)
