The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST)’s Department of Legal Affairs, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, on December 5 held a conference on dialogue with and provision of legal knowledge to enterprises operating in the field of culture, sports and tourism in HCM City.

The event was organized in the spirit of the Prime Minister's Scheme on improvement of the quality of legal assistance for enterprises in the 2021-30 period.

Addressing the conference, Pham Cao Thai, Director of the MoCST’s Department of Legal Affairs, said that the legal framework for the culture, sports and tourism sector is being adjusted, focusing on simplifying administrative procedures so as to create the most favorable conditions for both citizens and enterprises. He said the conference aims to facilitate dialogue and exchange between management authorities and businesses with respect to problems arising in production and business activities, thereby helping enterprises seek appropriate solutions.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director of the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports Bui Huu Toan said that supporting enterprises in legal compliance, resolving difficulties and facilitating business activities is a crucial, continuous and long-term task of the department, particularly when small- and medium-sized enterprises are regarded as playing an important role in the city’s dynamism, creativity and development.

Toan went on to say that through direct dialogue, enterprises could address difficulties they face in complying with regulations, ranging from business conditions and technical safety standards to administrative procedures related to the sectors subject to the MoCST’s management.

In the coming time, the department will continue to accompany enterprises, and proactively coordinate with the MoCST and related agencies to promptly improve relevant mechanisms and policies, thus creating the most favorable foundation for enterprises to develop and actively contributing to the sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City and the country, Toan added.- (VLLF)
