Following the passage of the 2003 Land Law, the Government promulgated various decrees specifying the compensation, support and resettlement when land is recovered by the State, such as Decree No. 181 and Decree No. 197 in 2004; Decree No. 84 in 2007 and Decree No. 69 in 2009. Circulars further guiding this work were also issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Finance.
