Speaking at the ceremony, PM Dung recalled when November 9 was officially chosen as Vietnam Law Day two years ago in order to honor the Constitution and raise the public sense of respecting the Vietnamese law.

Under the theme "All people build, follow and defense the Constitution for the goal of a properous people and a strong, democratic, equitable and civilized country," over the past two years, the Law Day has been upheld by ministries, sectors and organizations from the central to grassroots levels and all the people.

PM Dung stressed that following President Ho Chi Minh’s constitutional thought and the Party’s platform, the 2013 Constitution has facilitated the building of a socialist law-governed state where all decisions of the State are made in a transparent and lawful manner, the State is responsible for guaranteeing and protecting the right to democracy and freedom, human rights and citizens' rights while people are obliged to obey law and have the right to do what are not banned by law and use law to protect their lawful rights and interests.
