By 2030, the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s policies and laws will be disseminated among 90 percent of workers in enterprises in association with theoretical contents on functions and tasks of the working class.

Under Prime Minister Decision 1268/QD-TTg dated October 19, approving the program on intensification of lifelong learning activities of workers in enterprises through 2030, workers in enterprises will be encouraged to sustain lifelong learning in order to improve their professional skills, contributing to develop human resources, particularly high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and international integration.

Specifically, by 2030, it is targeted that 75 percent of workers in enterprises will attend training courses for improving job performance and receive education about necessary life skills, and 65 percent of them will be provided with information and knowledge about digital technologies. Meanwhile, half of them will be awarded with the title “learning citizen” by competent agencies.

To achieve the above targets, the program set forth several tasks and solutions including disseminating and raising the awareness about lifelong learning, contributing to building a learning society, implementing measures to facilitate workers’ regular learning activities so as to improve their learning quality, and intensifying the research and application of information and digital technologies for learning activities of workers.

Under the Decision, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is tasked to coordinate with related entities in directing, guiding and organizing the implementation of this program.- (VLLF)
