The Ministry of Justice, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, will hold a workshop titled “Identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions in the field of land management” on September 22 in Hanoi.

The workshop aims to address existing policy and institutional bottlenecks, as well as practical challenges in the enforcement of the land law. Participants will work to identify and recommend breakthrough solutions that can ensure land legislation becomes increasingly comprehensive, consistent, transparent, feasible, and effective.

This event is both practical and timely, particularly in the current context in which the Party and State are placing strong emphasis on revising land-related policies and legislation in the near future. This is because the Land Law is regarded as a fundamental and vital statute, directly linked to all socio-economic sectors and serving as a cornerstone for other key laws, including the Planning Law, the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, and the Investment Law.

The workshop also concretizes the guidance given by Party General Secretary To Lam during his working session with the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Government on September 18, regarding major orientations for amending and improving the Land Law. At that meeting, the Party chief underscored the importance of identifying and removing bottlenecks, as well as providing breakthrough solutions in this field.

The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation with online connections to 34 localities across the country, and will be livestreamed on the National Law Portal at phapluat.gov.vn.

The workshop will be co-chaired by leaders of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, with the participation of top experts, scholars, economists, lawyers, and representatives from professional associations and the business community.- (VLLF)
