Under Ministry of Science and Technology Circular No. 01/2008/TT-BKHCN of February 25, individuals granted industrial property (IP) assessor cards may either act as independent IP assessors or work in IP assessment organizations insofar as they are named on list of licensed IP assessors of these organizations. The director of the National Office of Intellectual Property is competent to grant, renew and withdraw IP assessor cards and certificates of eligibility of IP assessment organizations, as well as draw up and publicize lists of IP assessors and IP assessment organizations on the Industrial Property Official Gazette and the website of the National Office of Intellectual Property.
