The scheme on improvement of law dissemination and education at schools was approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1928/QD-TTg of November 20, with a view to creating a marked progress in the sense of observance of law and promoting law-abiding behaviors of teachers, education administrators and students.
Set to be implemented in the entire national education system from November 20, 2009 to 2012, this scheme requires schools to select laws and regulations to be disseminated and dissemination methods suitable to different age groups, study majors and regions, and combine theoretical knowledge with real circumstances. For instance, some simple traffic rules, family-related, environmental protection and food hygiene and safety regulations will be introduced in pre-school classes in a wide variety of games and puzzles.
General education pupils will be provided with knowledge and training of skills in the subject of citizen education in order to properly perform civic duties and rights.
For tertiary education, all students are obliged to acquire basic law knowledge so that they can themselves further study specific laws necessary for their future professions.
Vocational training institutions should furnish their trainees with specific laws on employment and labor contracts as well as regulations relevant to their trained professions.
A total of VND 37.6 million will be allocated for the scheme from the state budget.-
