Organizations, households, individuals and population communities, whose land in areas planned for building reservoirs, dams, key and supporting works and resettlement houses for irrigation or hydropower projects other than ODA-funded ones are to be recovered by the State, therefore suffering land-attached asset damage, will be allocated new land and receive compensations and supports specified in Prime Minister Decision No. 34/2010/QD-TTg of April 8, effective on June 1, 2010.
If the value of new residential or production land areas is lower than that of recovered ones, resettled people will receive the value difference in cash. However, they are not required to pay for the difference if the value of their new land areas is higher than that of recovered ones.
Resettled households and households whose land is recovered for building resettlement houses will be eligible for compensations in cash and monetary supports for building new houses with each of their member entitled to costs of building a floor space of 5 m2 and a healthcare allowance of VND 30,000. Households with their residential or production land wholly recovered will receive food relief for 48 months.-
