A seminar themed “Digital transformation in public communication and dissemination of laws” was jointly held by LuatVietnam and Vietnam Law and Legal Forum (VLLF) magazine on September 6 in Hanoi.

The seminar is aimed to review 15 years of cooperation between VLLF magazine and LuatVietnam on dissemination of legal documents in English on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of VLLF magazine (September 1994 - September 2024).

Attending the seminar were Tran Van Tri, Director of LuatVietnam, Cao Thi Mai Phuong, Editor-in-Chief of VLLF magazine, reporters and editors of the two units, as well as representatives of the Vietnam News Agency’s Technical Center and Legal Department.

As an external information agency taking charge of public communication of Vietnam’s law, over the past 30 years, VLLF magazine has actively contributed to the work of external information and public communication in general and law dissemination and education in particular, receiving appreciation from readers. Since 2009, LuatVietnam has become a partner that "extends" the source of readers of the magazine.

Speaking at the seminar, Tri said that "As legal documents are often amended and supplemented, digitizing such documents is very essential to support satisfaction of the needs of readers". He also noted the unavoidable trend of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in policy communication, and introduced the application of AI at LuatVietnam in providing legal consultancy services to its customers.

According to Tri, the AI legal tool was created not only as a smart tool for searching legal information, but also as a useful "virtual assistant" that helps users save more than 60 percent of time and personnel and improve productivity.

At the seminar, participants experienced LuatVietnam's “virtual assistant” by asking legal questions for the tool to provide responses. The AI legal tool is expected to become a useful product for users to seek legal advices in the fastest way.

For her part, VLLF Editor-In-Chief Phuong said she hoped that the seminar would give the magazine’s reporters and editors with inspirations as they have a chance to learn from such a creative working environment like LuatVietnam. She also wished for more effective cooperation between the two agencies.- (VLLF)
