Importers of vehicles or engines for the manufacture and assembly of vehicles must have vehicle/engine samples inspected and tested for use as a basis for consideration, assessment and grant of imported vehicle/engine quality certificates, according to the Transport Ministry’s new regulations on inspection of quality, technical safety and environmental protection for imported vehicles and engines.
According to current regulations, the manufacturer’s document on technical specifications of imported vehicles must contain requirements on emissions, in addition to parameters on size, weight, allowable number of passengers, maximum speed and basic technical specifications of engines.
Under the regulations, samples of each imported lot of goods of the same type shall be inspected.-
