The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will coordinate with concerned ministries and branches in revising a number of the 2003 Land Law’s provisions related to land use plannings and plans so that more land will be reserved for food production, according to Minister Pham Khoi Nguyen.
The Law should be revised in the direction of reviewing forests of three types in order to reserve more land for production; making region-based plannings; and effecting planning decentralization, he said.
The Law should be revised because realties showed that some of its provisions appeared to be inappropriate to some localities, Mr. Nguyen said.-
