The first draft of an Enterprise Law to be applied to enterprises of all economic sectors was debated by members of the drafting board and the Working Group for implementation of the Enterprise Law on November 24.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cung, secretary of the Working Group and member of the drafting board, the Bill has been elaborated in the principles of inheriting the 1999 Enterprise Law and offering non-discriminatory treatment to limited-liability companies, joint-stock companies, partnerships and private enterprises.
As compared with the current Enterprise Law, the Bill has 40 new articles, focusing on clarifying regulations on State enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises.
The Bill also contains a number of specific provisions, which are currently prescribed in guiding decrees.-
