Two ministers will field questions raised at the on-going 25th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on August 15.

At the one-day question & answer session that takes place under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the Minister of Justice will clear up questions on solutions to improve the quality of the legal system, to deal with limitations and wrongdoings in the issuance of documents detailing laws and resolutions adopted by the NA, and ordinances and resolutions by the NA Standing Committee.

These issues are of public concern, NA Chairman Hue said, adding that the hearing session, the fourth of its kind held by the 15th NA Standing Committee, is expected to help better the lawmaking and supervision work.

For the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, deputies will raise questions pertaining to food security and rice exports as well as solutions to remove obstacles to agricultural product exports and the “yellow card” warning imposed by the European Commission (EC) on Vietnamese seafood.

The top legislator said that the domestic farming sector remains an important economic pillar although it is facing new challenges. Therefore, the session is hoped to set forth many effective solutions to help it create breakthroughs in the time ahead.-(VLLF)
