The Prime Minister on April 29 approved the list of 127 national projects that will await foreign investment until 2020.
Of the projects, 51 will focus on infrastructure development for transport (roads, railways, airports, seaports), energy generation, water supply, urban waste treatment and industrial parks.
Twenty projects will comprise construction of universities, specialized vocational schools, hospitals, pharmaceutical plants and tourism sites.
Meanwhile, the 44 projects in the agriculture sctor will focus on the establishment of hi-tech agricultural zones, fisheries and forestry development.
Eight projects will contribute to the nation’s collection and purchase of food processing plants while the remaining four projects will see additions to the production and service sector with a new oil refinery and a plant manufacturing aviation equipment.
The cabinet head has asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and localities in disseminating information on the list, organizing investment promotion activities and supplementing or adjusting the list when necessary.-
