Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has recently assigned the Ministry of Finance to closely work with the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and related ministries and agencies in reviewing problems and shortcomings in the implementation of the government decree on the business of prize-winning video games for foreigners.
The Ministry will have to join the Ministries of Planning and Investment; Justice; Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Public Security, and the SBV and other related agencies in finalizing a draft decree amending Decree No. 86/2013/ND-CP in conformity with the 2013 Constitution, the 2014 Investment and Enterprise Laws and other relevant laws.
According to the draft decree, this is a conditional business service which is permitted to be advertised within hotels licensed for the business. The draft decree is expected to prescribe the minimum charter capital of businesses applying for business eligibility certificate.
The deputy PM also requested procedures for granting or modifying investment certificate and enterprise registration certificate to be carried out before procedures for granting business eligibility certificate.
Conditions and procedures for consideration of grant of prize-winning video game business eligibility certificate must be much more simple and transparent, he said. There should be regulations on management of joint ventures, associated operation and secondary investment in the business after it is licensed, he added.- (VLLF)
