Representatives from almost 200 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) gathered at the 2025 talks on legal assistance for enterprises that was held by the Quang Ninh Department of Justice on December 18.
The event was part of the Quang Ninh People's Committee's Plan 50/KH-UBND on provision of legal assistance to SMEs in the province.
Over recent years, provincial departments and sectors have regularly updated and published legal documents and databases on cases and matters on websites, portals, the Quang Ninh Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) platform and official fanpages. Apart from compiling guiding materials, the authorities have organized over 2,300 conferences, dialogues and forums and more than 900 specialized training courses to provide legal consultancy, instructions and knowledge to local SMEs.
Addressing the event, Deputy Director of the Department of Justice Nguyen Chinh Nghia emphasized that the provision of legal assistance is crucial for helping businesses mitigate legal risks and ensuring a transparent, safe investment environment, especially when new policies for private economy development take effect in 2025.
He briefed the participants of SME support policies under Resolution 68-NQ/TW, National Assembly Resolution 198/2025/QH15 and Government Decree 55/2019/ND-CP.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Quang Tiep, Deputy Head of the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-Tech Crime Prevention and Combat of the Quang Ninh Department of Public Security, shared practical insights on information security and cybersecurity. He informed businesses of cyberspace risks, including cyberattacks, online fraud and potential media and communication crises.
The representative from the Quang Ninh Department of Justice said that the department will work with related agencies to advise on the uniform application of legal assistance solutions, and propose establishing a network of legal consultants across the province, thus facilitating the stable and sustainable growth of businesses.- (VLLF)
